HuskeeOriginal was born in 2017 after a successful kickstarter, to see if we could solve a problem through design. Each year, the production of coffee creates millions of tonnes of coffee husk waste. We started with the question “What if we could turn that waste into something beautiful” and the HuskeeOriginal Cup was born. Through award-winning iconic design, we created a reusable cup that is both sustainable and made for the industry.
At Huskee, we believe in turning waste into something extraordinary. We source coffee husks, which would otherwise end up in landfill, and transform them into a resilient material that forms the foundation of our HuskeeOriginal Cups.
Our manufacturing process begins by carefully collecting discarded husk from coffee farms. By giving them a new purpose, we give the coffee farmers additional revenue, divert waste from landfill, and improve environmental impacts. It's a win-win-win situation for coffee lovers and the planet.

The iconic fins offer exceptional insulation while the lid can be pushed on with one hand. The drain slots on the base of the cup remove excess water after a dishwasher cycle.
Plus with nothing to take apart, it’s easy to clean and hygienic.
We intentionally offer HuskeeOriginal Cups in only two colours, natural and charcoal. It makes it easier to separate and recycle at their end-of-life via our HuskeeLoop program.
A key focus of our design is how the cups hold up in a cafe environment. They need to be durable, take a beating in daily service, and be stackable. All HuskeeOriginal cups, saucers and lids can be stacked, which is handy at home too.
HuskeeOriginal cups lock neatly and securely with our sustainable Classic Saucer. We’ve designed a ‘valley’ in the base of each cup which nests into the ‘hill’ in the middle of the saucer. As a result, this makes serving coffee easy to carry.
Huskee’s Universal Lid features a triangulation of vents on its roof. This increases the aromatics of your drinking experience, whilst also enabling the ideal pour rate. The reservoir allows coffee to pool at the spout, creating the same drinking experience as an open HuskeeOriginal cup.
